Policy

Your child’s safety, wellbeing and happiness are my top priorities. We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where every student feels comfortable, respected and able to learn.

We follow UK safeguarding guidance and maintain appropriate DBS checks, with clear measures in place for both in-person and online lessons. We also work closely and openly with parents and guardians to ensure students are well supported.

Any concerns about a child’s welfare will always be taken seriously and handled appropriately.

Parents and guardians will receive the full Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy at registration and will be asked to sign a consent form before lessons begin.

Recruitment

Any staff who may be hired as an assistant must have a valid DBS certificate.

Online

Specific measures are in place to ensure a child's safety during online classes. This includes the presence of a responsible adult in the same building as the child taking the class, who is able to show themselves on camera at the start of each session. This is something to consider ahead of booking online classes.
