LAMDA Group
Greenwich Peninsula
Acting
Ages 11–18
Suitable for beginners or those with existing LAMDA qualifications. We will be working towards Solo Acting Grades 3–6.
About the Class
LAMDA examinations are widely recognised, providing accredited progression in Drama, with Grades 6–8 carrying UCAS points. The syllabus focuses on key acting skills such as voice and characterisation, while also developing all-round confidence.
Group classes offer the chance to progress through drama grades as part of a community, with the incorporation of lots of games and group drama exercises. Because there is so much overlap between grades, acting technique and theory elements can be taught to mixed level groups. Students will work towards a showcase of monologues for an invited audience in the summer term, which will prepare the way for their exam.
Classes are taught by Francesca, a registered LAMDA teacher on the official LAMDA directory. Having previously taught group classes at Italia Conti with an 88% distinction rate, her peer learning formula works.
Exams
Exams will be booked at a public centre in summer or autumn 2027, depending on what’s right for the student. LAMDA charges a fee for exams, which is not included in your termly class costs. We will manage the booking and associated admin.
Watch this space: We would like to open a class for students progressing to Grades 7 and 8. Let us know if you’d be interested.
